Peridynamics

Documentation for the Peridynamics julia package.

Overview

Peridynamics is a non-local formulation of continuum mechanics. Material points map the continuum, and the relative displacements and forces are described by an integral equation that is also fulfilled for discontinuities. Therefore, peridynamics is ideally suited for dynamic fracture simulations with many cracks!

This package aims at making it easy for everyone to perform peridynamics simulations with a high-level API and the speed of Julia. Currently, only a limited feature set is supported, but many upgrades are in the pipeline, so stay tuned for upcoming versions!

Installation

To install, use Julia's built-in package manager. Open the Julia REPL and type ] to enter the package mode and install Peridynamics as follows:

pkg> add Peridynamics
